Armelle & Julie (myself), as Edmiston colleagues and friends, have decided to participate in the Raid Amazones from the 13th to the 20th March 2024, which will take place in Cambodia (https://www.raidamazones.com/). Our team, Risi’N Star will run this raid in honour of my little boy, Noan, who unfortunately passed away due to Streptococcus A on December 16th, 2022.
This Raid, aside from being a sporting event, offers the opportunity to discover Cambodia by engaging in humanitarian causes organised by the Raid itself. It also allows us to choose the foundation we wish to support!
We have chosen to support the bacteriology department of Cochin's Hospital trough the AP-HP Foundation, which focuses actively on research related to Streptococcus A, in the hope that one day, more effective treatments will be discovered to prevent the still too frequent infant deaths. The AP-HP Foundation supports targeted research aimed at better understanding the mechanisms of these streptococci, identifying the best ways to fight against this bacteria (antibiotics, prevention).
Through this initiative, we hope to raise broader awareness among parents of young children about the seriousness of this bacteria. Advancing research, finding a vaccine, a treatment, being proactive for the good of all and all children, this is our fight, Armelle, my husband, Florian, and myself.
Below, you will find a secure link to make your donations directly to the foundation. Thank you for your support, for your commitment, your love, thank you for them ❤ Every donation counts, no matter how small! ❤
